Peter Ellsmore & Associates is a Wollongong based engineering and drafting consultancy that provides services to a variety of clients in the industrial, mining and construction industries across the Illawarra region and beyond.

An opportunity exists to join our design team supporting our clients from one of our Illawarra offices. The position can include both Capital projects and ongoing plant support.

In summary, we are seeking an experienced mechanical or structural design drafter with a back ground in heavy industry, mining or materials handlings.

To succeed in this position, you will need to demonstrate;

Relevant technical qualifications.
Significant experience with Inventor 3D modelling and production of drawings is essential, ideally including Vault.
Significant AutoCAD experience
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, structural and heavy plate work design
Able to prepare drawings & contribute to the design of general heavy industrial equipment; steel processing lines; mechanical & materials handling equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, hoppers, chutes, material transfer systems; steel structures and plant layouts.
Design experience associated with steel production, iron ore, coal, or other related industries
Minimum 5-10 years relevant industry experience
Ability to work with direction and supervision from engineer
Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards
Excellent communication skills
