ABOUT THE POSITION:
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and construction of various structures to ensure their safety, stability, and functionality. Your expertise in engineering principles, structural analysis, and temporary work will be essential in creating innovative and cost-effective solutions for a wide range of projects.
You will be designing and managing temporary structures and support systems required during the construction process. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, construction professionals, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide innovative and practical solutions for temporary works.
This person will be responsible for all engineering calculations, cross-checking, and presentation of calculations for the scaffolding structures and the supporting structures.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
- Proven experience in structural design and analysis, preferably in a consulting, construction or engineering firm.
- Proficiency in scaffolding drafting using Tekla Structures, ScaffPlan, and Sketchup.
- Expertise in all engineering calculations, cross-checking, and presentation of calculations for the scaffolding structures and the supporting structures
- Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to structural engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management.
