BBC Group is looking to add Scottsdale steel frame and truss detailer to the team!
Role
As an experienced detailer you will be responsible for providing technically accurate and cost-effective drawings for light gauge steel frame structures, as well as designing and detailing roof trusses, wall frames and structural steel using Scottsdale Scotsteel software. You will be required to identify inconsistencies and errors between architectural and structural designs / specifications and provide alternate design options when required.
We are looking for a candidate who has a strong practical knowledge and experience of building construction and processes relating to walls, floor joists and roof truss framing, and with 3D visualization ability critical to problem solving. You must have expert knowledge and experience with frame and truss (preferably come from a steel background) and this should be complimented by your excellent use of industry software.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
- Experience with frame and truss
- Proficiency in full Scottsdale design software
- Confidently be able to detail wall frames, roof trusses and floors
- Construction experience with knowledge of basic building codes and standards
- Above average IT literacy
- Engineering or carpentry qualifications are beneficial but not essential
- Have a high level of attention to detail and take pride in your work
- Structural steel detailing experience preferred
- Able to train and mentor our current detailers to expand their knowledge
