We’re seeking a Boilermaker / Welder to join our Brickworks VIC Plant in Wollert, Victoria.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and welding operations for all facility grounds and equipment to ensure complete reliability of all maintenance functions.
We welcome applicants with extensive welding experience, even if they are not trade qualified.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate maintenance work orders, set priorities, and process work assignments.
- Perform routine inspections of all systems and equipment.
- Perform routine repair work and other general maintenance tasks.
- Establish and communicate the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance tasks.
- Work independently as well as part of the Maintenance team.
- Carry out general fabrication work and chute re-lines.
- Develop a functional understanding of all essential building systems to assure systems are operating correctly and efficiently.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner, compliant with WHSE policies and procedures.
- Perform housekeeping and routine cleaning of machines and surrounding areas.
- Ensure supplies are replaced and complete maintenance logs to document service and repairs.
Success Requirements
- Relevant cert 3 qualification.
- Welding experience and strong knowledge of welding fabrication standards.
- Significant steel fabrication experience in crushing, screening, fixed plant maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand schematic drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Experience with Warman pumps would be advantageous.
- Strong commitment to following company policies.
