Role Description
Amarna is seeking a package engineer to ensure the compliant design, manufacture, testing, delivery, installation, commissioning and safe, reliable operation of mechanical, electrical and process equipment packages from Chinese manufacturers for Australian renewable energy projects.
The package engineer will use their technical written and spoken Mandarin and English language skills to work closely with equipment manufacturer engineers to ensure the efficient and accurate flow of manufacturers data and documents throughout the procurement process from early engagement through procurement and in-service support. Equipment package deliveries under Amarna management now include hydrogen electrolysers, cooling water systems, reverse osmosis systems, pressure vessels, rectifiers and transformers. Future equipment is expected to include wind turbines, inverters, compressors, fuel cells, BESS and other renewable energy equipment packages.
In each case the package engineer will be responsible for the compliance of the package with project functional requirements as well as local state regulations and applicable Australian Standards and other International Standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Process Engineering
- Bilingual technical writing and conversation skills in English and Mandarin
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Demonstrated familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with renewable energy projects is a plus
