We are looking for a new passionate junior mechanical engineer to join our Perth based team. This newly created role will initially be offered on a 12-month basis, largely supporting the delivery of large WA based mining project. Reporting directly to our engineering principal This role is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of engineering disciplines and hands on training from renown industry experts.
The position:
- Design, develop and implement equipment to optimize client performance outcomes
- Schedule and coordinate projects to deliver our commitment to timeliness and quality within budgets
- Support in the Identification and management of technical risk
- Conduct tests, where possible, to verify performance and identify opportunities for enhancement
- Ensure regulatory compliance for all tasks and projects
- Support administration and product pricing of project tenders and proposals
- Troubleshoot problems with processes and equipment in conjunction with other team members as required
- Maintain project status, client status and QA documentation
- Assist client on site operations on a case-by-case basis as requested
- Proactively promote quality, environmental responsibility & safety within the workplace
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical engineering
- 1 -2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering
- Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and similar design tools
- Strong project management capabilities, organizational skills and systematic approach to work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for engineering and growing your understanding of bespoke solutions
