Fyfes Energy and Resources Group works with major exploration and distribution clients to deliver specialist mining, hydrogen and renewable energy, oil and gas projects across the country. These include mining process plant modifications, upstream flowlines, leases, network gathering and distribution systems, major gas transmission pipelines, oil and gas above ground processing facilities, as well as maintenance and construction related work programs.
The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth operations and work on project portfolios across the energy and resources sectors, specifically oil, and gas.
The Responsibilities:
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including design engineers and project managers, to ensure projects are delivered on time and exceed client expectations.
Additionally, you will:
- Ensure engineering design practices and standards in the organisation are in accordance with Australian Standards, guides and codes as appropriate, meeting industry best practice;
- Piping stress analysis and checking isometrics and piping arrangements;
- Prepare concept, feasibility and FEED documentation and obtain relevant reviews and approvals;
- Prepare and check data sheets for mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, fittings and vessels;
What we will love about you:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineer with relevant experience in the oil and gas, and/or mining industries
- Demonstrated experience working on technical design projects
- Possess a strong understanding of ASME B31.3 and AS 2885
- Experienced with Caesar and Autopipe programs
- Experienced with modelling buried piping systems
- Strong analytical and technical report writing skills
- Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and client requirements
- A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality work
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects
