About the Role:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing and delivering automation, robotic, and electrical projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll be responsible for managing projects, creating detailed designs, and optimising systems to meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Design & Development: Develop innovative mechanical design concepts and detailed 3D/2D models using CAD software.
- Prototyping & Testing: Collaborate with the prototyping team to bring designs to life, conducting tests and validations.
- Design Optimisation: Continuously improve system designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- System Integration: Work with other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Documentation: Produce technical documentation including bills of materials, assembly instructions, and system specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: 10+ years in industrial automation, with 5 years in FMCG preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in PLC programming, robotics, and motion control.
- CAD Software: Experience with either AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks will be highly advantageous.
- Project Management: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex projects.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
