The Role
Ventia is seeking experienced & qualified Boilermaker/Welders with experience in the mining industry to support our ongoing maintenance contract. The successful candidates will join the team that supports BHP Billiton’s Olympic Dam operations.
This is a permanent position starting on a 1 week on / 1 week off roster and will progress to a 2 week on / 2 week off roster in the new year. Flights from Adelaide to Roxby Downs (return) are included (flights from capital cities can be provided for suitable candidates). We also include meals and accommodation, while at site.
Requirements
- AUS/NZ recognised Boilermaker (equivalent) Trade qualification. (Required)
- Demonstrated post-trade experience in a similar role. (Required)
- Mine site experience. (Highly desirable)
- Current manual HR licence. (Required)
- High Risk Work Licence. (Highly regarded)
- Bucket re-build experience.
- Attachment crack repair experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
- Ability to pass a weld test to Ventia supplied WPS.
- Hold a current/cleared Police Check (or be willing to complete a Police Check as part of the onboarding process).
