Now that you know why you should work for us, you should also know what you will be doing when you start with us:
· Utilise your independent skills to plan and analyse designs
· Sketch-up layouts/details and coordinate drafting staff
· Review documentation for final outputs and assist in the general delivery of projects
· Liaise with clients, subconsultants, utility authorities, Council officers and governing bodies to establish project requirements and demonstrate compliance
· Preparation of fee proposals including detailed job cost breakdowns
· Undertake site inspections as required
· Effective communication with project team and management
· Provide mentorship and guidance to other less experienced team members
We know that with your 5+ years of Australian experience (and have completed a Civil/Structural degree that is recognised by Engineers Australia) that has earned you the right to be called a Structural Engineer, you will easily be able to demonstrate experience, knowledge, and skills in most, if not all, of the following:
· Detailed working knowledge of building structures including competency in structural steel, reinforced concrete, and domestic construction
· Sound understanding of site construction practices, with a specific understanding of residential and industrial construction
· Experience undertaking site inspection works, including defect identification / reporting, and the ability to write concise, accurate and considered reports without supervision
