Company An established developer and owner operator in the renewable energy sector that boasts a high performing team that has achieved significant success in Australia. Responsibilities & objectives The company is entering a period of significant construction activity for a major renewable energy hub in Queensland, and is building out its project team to deliver the first stage of one of the largest Solar Farms in the country. This is a site based role with the likely roster being a 5&2 or 2&1 drive in drive out (site is a 3 hour drive from Brisbane).
Core responsibilities:
- Work closely with the EPC on final stages of design and then ramping up to early works including road upgrades, access roads and clearing the site
- Onsite inspecting quality, reviewing and analysising programs and reporting and documenting progress on the civil & mechanical packages
- Review key milestones in line with construction activities and work with the Commercial Manager around claims, variations and milestone payments
- Provide effective interfaces and information sharing between the EPC contractor, NSP, AEMO and other key project stakeholders such as the Owners Engineer
You
- Previous construction experience on a Solar Farm would be highly regarded; alternatively, working on other renewable energy or energy storage projects
- Owners Engineer or Site Engineer experience with either an EPC Contractor or owner operator
- Be comfortable with having difficult discussions with EPCs around commercial milestones and non-conformance
- Highly effective communication skills (both written and spoken) and initiative to work without direction and come with a solution focused approach
