Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer with expertise in the mining industry to help lead a team of structural engineers.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, analysis, and maintenance of mining infrastructure such as mines, mills, and processing plants.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in structural engineering principles, be familiar with industry standards and codes, and have experience managing complex engineering projects.
Requirements:
- Rights to work in Australia
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- At least 7 years experience in structural design
- Strong project management ability
- Experience with steel and concrete design
- Advanced level of competence with software packages such as Spacegass, StaadPro and Strand 7
- Advanced knowledge of applicable Australian Standards
- Capable of training and supervising graduate engineers
- Ability to keep and develop positive client relationships
- Ability to perform site inspections as required
- Drivers License
Desirable:
- Experience designing mining and process structures
- Experience designing structures subject to fatigue and vibration
- Working knowledge of structural integrity audits and practical remedial solutions
