About the Role
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Boilermakers/Welders for regular ongoing work in our Geraldton workshop. These are full time permanent positions.
Geraldton is a coastal city in the Midwest region of Western Australia. With a beautiful Mediterranean climate and a stunning coastline, it makes for the perfect work/life balance.
Duties
- Ensure achievement of maintenance goals to maximise plant and equipment availability
- Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment and operate machines to produce parts or tools
- Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments
- Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together
- Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Operate powered machines that may be manually, or computer controlled
- Erect machinery and equipment on site as required; and inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs as required
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria (what's required):
- Trade certification (Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication or relevant experience)
- Minimum 4 years' experience
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work well in a team in remote areas
- Strong commitment towards safety and quality
- Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude
- Company and customer focused based
- Supply a current manual driver's licence
- Forklift and EWP are desirable however not essential
- Ability to pass a medical and D&A screen
Salary
Guaranteed annual earnings: AUD70,000 to AUD100,000 plus superannuation per annum.
Relocation assistance will be available to the successful candidate.
