GCE have a proven track record of delivering challenging projects throughout Queensland and New South Wales safely, on time and to a high standard of quality.

Due to our continued growth we looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a hands on approach to become part of our business alongside an experienced team based in our Hendra office.

About the Role:

Evaluate design problems and develop practical and efficient solutions.
Create high-quality CAD models and drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD based on provided information.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet all design and drawing requirements.
Understand and leverage manufacturing processes to simplify designs for efficient fabrication.
Ensuring projects are managed on budget, completed on time and delivered to a high quality.
Experience with project programming, cost and quality control, procurement and supplier engagement

Essential Skills and Experience:

Have the right to work in Australia.
Experience in a workshop environment is highly advantageous.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Proficiency in using Inventor, Vault, and AutoCAD is essential.
FEA experience highly advantageous.
High attention to detail with a methodical approach to design and drawing.
Ability to work effectively in a team, autonomously, and without supervision.
Capable of working in a structured and organized manner while remaining agile to adapt to shifting priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet task time limits and deadlines.
